Lynx Kitchen Awarded NEMITEK Innovation Prize
Lynx Kitchen received HVAC Project of the Year from NemiTek in the Trøndelag region. The jury highlighted the project as "a model for energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions in commercial kitchen environments".

Lynx Kitchen was awarded HVAC Project of the Year at NemiTek's autumn meeting in the Trøndelag region on 13 November 2025. NemiTek is the industry association for the HVAC sector in central Norway, and the award is presented to projects that stand out for technical innovation, documented performance and sustainable design.
The jury highlighted Lynx Kitchen's centrifugal grease separator system as a technical breakthrough for commercial kitchen ventilation. Particular attention was drawn to the five-year operational documentation from the El Rincon restaurant at Lager 11 in Trondheim — an installation where the ventilation ducts have remained chemically clean without a single duct cleaning since the system was put into operation in 2020.
The jury also emphasised the technology's importance for meeting the EPBD directive's requirements for heat recovery in commercial buildings. Clean ventilation ducts are a prerequisite for heat exchangers to operate safely and efficiently — something Lynx Kitchen solves by keeping ducts free of grease deposits through continuous centrifugal separation at 75 to 314 G centrifugal force.
"A model for energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions in commercial kitchen environments", the jury concluded.
From Oslo Airport, where Lynx Kitchen is installed in collaboration with Caverion, the operations team confirmed: "Other systems let grease pass through. With Lynx, the ducts are still clean after 1 year." — a result consistent with the controlled laboratory measurements.
Lynx Kitchen is patented in 10 jurisdictions (patent NO20092260, priority date 2009) and holds divisional patent PCT/EP2021/080260 from 2021.
