Oslo Airport Chooses Lynx Kitchen as Its Ventilation Standard
Norway's busiest airport selects the world's only commercially documented self-cleaning kitchen ventilation system. The decision was driven by fire safety.

Oslo Airport Gardermoen, operated by Avinor, has selected Lynx Kitchen for its commercial kitchen ventilation. The decision was driven by fire safety. Avinor holds fire risk to the highest standard of any building operator in Norway — and Lynx is the only system in the world that can document chemically clean ventilation ducts over time.
Conventional grease filters require periodic duct cleaning and still leave grease deposits that represent a continuous fire hazard. Lynx eliminates the problem at the source. Ducts remain clean from day one — not because they are washed, but because grease never accumulates.
The selection follows five years of camera-documented, uninterrupted operation at the El Rincon reference installation in Trondheim, where no manual duct cleaning has been required throughout the entire operating period. Dual-channel monitoring continuously verifies duct condition.
The Gardermoen installation is the most demanding reference to date for Lynx Kitchen and confirms that the technology meets the fire safety requirements of Norway's most trafficked public building.
